Got a 2004 2.5 V6 Freelander....

Recently I've noticed when driving on rough terrain and less than prefect roads there's a loud vibration coming from the tailgate... I suspect that the problem could be associated with the door latch, or the door stops...

Has anyone else had any experience repairing a problem like this???

Also, I've noticed a considerable amount of chassis flex when driving over uneven surfaces.

Any advice???

Hi Hippo...

I thought that it may have the roller blind cover, so I removed it and drove without it under the same driving conditions, and the result was same...

With respect to the compartment, I'm pretty certain it's closed properly as I always keep it locked... But I'll check it anyway just to be sure... Notwithstanding, I'm almost certain that it's the door itself that might be the problem...
