Easy as,
Just pull the plug on the sensor (under fuel filter) then unscrew it the fuel will drain out , screw the sensor back in plug it back up and the light should go out. On the td5 defender it is just a circuit so there is no need to reset any fault codes not sure on disco though. If the light is quick to come back on then it might be time to change the fuel filter or the place you but your fuel from.
