I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have given me responses to my various questions.
Since starting on this web forum, I have fixed the following on my 1996 SE7
Rear flex disk,
complete track rod end job, inc Steering damper
front springs and shocks,
swivel joint clicking (both were dry, just needed oil)
Next jobs,
Replace a lot of interior bulbs, hardly any illumination right now,
De-sieze the CDL lever high and low working but stiff, diff lock needs freeing up.
Clean the ABS sensors, ABS light was on, cleaned one sensor, now no ABS light, will clean all and check thoroughly.
Need Tyres, Sorry Tires, (british guy) 1/2 price at Canadian tire
