I don't know if this has been on here before, but if you're into wierd and interesting Land Rovers, this is the place to go:

http://www.dunsfoldcollection.co.uk/

Basically it's a collection of Land Rovers that are special through being rare, prototypes of some sort or having some crazy specialist use.

The gallery makes for good viewing.

You guys see the 1988 Disco prototype? That thing has an interesting story behind it, and looks all beat to hell. They once left it submerged in water for 3 days to test water ingress into different components. 3 days! Damn that thing is tough.

Wow, check out this! It looks like its ready to combat submarines with that WWI like paintjob....since its a prototype it does just that.....

"VEHICLE SPEC.
THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY PRE-PRODUCTION DISCOVERY 3 PROTOTYPES DATING FROM 2003. THE IN HOUSE CODE FOR THIS MODEL WAS L319. WE ARE STILL RESEARCHING THIS CAR SO MORE WILL COME OUT LATER. THE BASE COLOUR WAS WHITE AND THE BLACK WAS ADDED AS A DISRUPTIVE EFFECT TO CAMOUFLAGE THE BODY LINES AND STYLE. FROM WHAT WE CAN TELL THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN WORKING OVERSEAS HENCE THE G.B. STICKER AND GERMAN (I THINK) MOTORWAY PASSES IN THE WINDSCREEN. THE REAR LAMPS ARE NOTHING LIKE THE FINAL BUILD, ALSO MOST OF THE INTERIOR TRIM IS PROTOTYPE. THIS WILL POSSIBLY BE THE ONLY SURVIVING PROTOTYPE."

This one here was also pretty nuts...a half and half disco....
