Anyone recommend using thread sealer on the pan bolts? Something like permatex blue? The RAV doesn't mention this being needed but just wondering.

Some use a number of different sealants, some don't. Those bolts rarely ever loosen up. To b sure, you use a thread sealant of your choice but not gasket sealer.

Thanks Mike. What's your thought on using rtv on the entire gasket, both sides instead of just the four seams indicated in rave?

Maybe on one side but not both.
If you ever have to remove it, it is a night mare.
