I recently installed 255/60-18 General Grabbers AT2's and they work great. You can feel the more aggressive tread when driving on the highway but boy do they work great off road. They are 30" tall vs. 29" for the 255/55-18. I have the stock suspension and no issues. Overall, they look and work great.
I didnt want to start a new thread but I just cannot decide between the General Grabber AT2 and the Nitto Terra Grapplers. both sizes will be in 255 60 18. Im trying to find which has the best "on road" performance as far as low rolling resistance and such. I can find both of them online for around $210 a piece shipped.
Now what is the preferred load rating for our vehicles. I saw some Cooper AT3 tires but the only size they have for us is the standard load rating of 2337 which is kinda low no? Should we only get XL rated tires?
Picked up Cooper Discoverer A/T3 from discount tire direct for $620 shipped. Went with 265 60 18. Can't wait! I wanted Terra grappler or grabber at2 but these cooper's were $230 cheaper and should do better on road which is 80% of my driving.
