I've got 11" wide treads on one of mine and it just fits under the wheel arch (with flares fitted), if it was another 1" wider it would protrude. The turning circle on the front wheels is a little bigger however. I think you would need bigger flares and expect to have some overhang.
I've got a mate running 12.5/33/15 on his 130 dual cab. They hang out a couple of inches on the rear (no wheel arch flares) and poke out just a mickey whisker on the front but look okay. Had to wind his steering stops out a bit, and used standard speedie 8" 8 spoke desert rats. He reckons it's transformed the handling like its running on rails! I've heard that you can have problems with the rear inner sidewalls contacting the coil spring upper mount but he hasn't encountered the problem (may happen with different offset rims?). Only problem is he needs 40 acres to turn it around!
Hey Dirk, I read on one of the other posts that you had soundproofed your buggy. What did you use, how did it go, and did it work? Any advice appreciated.
I will gather the products together that I used 3 in total. Did it work yes quite well. Not as good as I would like but still worth it. I found that the most noise came in around the gear stick. I added a piece of thick boogie board style of rubber and also some heat reflecting stuff to the bottom of the seal that was already in there. This muffeled a lot of noise also then by adding the deadener (a layer of tar sandwiched between two pieces of old style carpet underlay) over the transmition tunnel this killed a lot more.
