So what kind of tools do you prefer? Craftsmen, snapon Mac, Matco,

or ebay and other places.

Me, I prefer Matco, I got a great rep with the Matco guy but I dont mind buying something from the others if necessary. But also if I can find an odd tool in say home depot then I go for it. Sometimes small things like pipe cleaners and some cheap air tools work well.

I do have some craftsmen from my days at school though.

I am always going on the tool truck for something else. My favorite is my cordless electric quarter inch wratchet. basically instead of air powered its battery powered. gots lot of torque. great for inside interior work and bumpers and stuff. I can swap out a window regulator on a freelander in under ten minutes. Just got a dual caliper break spreading tool. Basically you pump it like a cauk gun and it pushes the brake calipers back. A real time saver.

Ironically my tool box isnt that big. I d rather have more tools then a bigger box. I knew too many guys get big boxes only to lose them a few months later.

I have a mix of everything.... I have mainly craftsman..I also have a lot of cornwell, the MAC, then snap-on....and of course the Harbour Freight specials...I have a mix of what ever is out there.....All of my electronic test tools are Mac or snap on....... My body tools are mac and greatneck... The best investment i made was the Gearwrenches.....The ability to have a box wrench that rachets is great...These are my most commonly used tools...

Cant forget gear wrench.

I got the first set without the little switch.

I lost three of them and it made it worthwhile to get the newer set with the little switch to change the direction.

I have been thinking about getting a stubby set that is offset and foldable.
ITs over a hundred bucks and aint cheap.

all of my ectronic stuff is mac and snap on. Although like an idiot I bought something from Snapon a few years ago that was useless.

but I do have a nifty short finder I have used a few times. Works great.

And a Mac power supplier basically it hooks up to the battery thru really long cords or the cigarette lighter and you can add battery voltage and had a fuse. It can power a window motor, send power over a circuit and a whole bunch of good stuff.

And if you ever want to hold down the brake pedal use a long philips screwdriver. ITs cheap and it works great. I use them on inspections all the time.

I live and die by Craftsman I have two main sets of wrenches and socket wrench sets...one that has a wide array of sizes that stays in the tool box in the shop, and one that travels with me

my Electric Tools, Carpentry, Compressors, Metal-Fab tools, tool boxes and all other accessories are ALL Craftsman. I have several other sets of wrenches and screw drivers that have been with me since my go kart racing days, 8 years ago, that have taken a BEATING!!! and are still with me today and holding up strong!

CRAFTSMAN!!! :buttrock:

Facom makes some VERY nice hand tools. They make the tools the Ferrari Racing Team uses and I have a friend who owns a Ferrari repair shop so I have a set of wrenches. screwdrivers, pliers, ect. I also love my Gearwrench tools. I have three sets of SAE and one set of metric. I have old Land Rovers that are mostly SAE! Otherwise, my tool box is a mixed bag of everything from Snap On down to a 1 1/2" wrench I just picked up at Advance Auto for $12 the other night. Hey, when you need it, you gotta get it and when you live in the country you can't be picky!

Ferrari tools, I heard of them. they come with every ferrari dont they.
Ferrari has just recently switched to Facom as opposed the the ASAG they once used. Facom is also used by McLaren and a couple others....in fact if you had money growing out of your anus and purchased a Mclaren F1 factory direct you recieved a complete set of gold plated Facom tools to work on it with.

I'm mostly Snap on and Mac with some Facom, ASAG and Cornwell stuff thrown in the mix. I used to restore Austin Healys so i have a good collection of random units also.

Most of my tools are at the shop so I rarely get to see them, they are locked safe and the envy of my enployees
