Two questions:

Tranny has to be shifted through the gears from low on up. Has been that way for 3 years. Any ideas on if that is common or not as far as problems go? I seem to remember reading when it first happened that there was a common cause for that but, I cannot find the posting anywhere. I have driven it as a daily driver for years that way but, I will be towing soon and probably need to repair it.

Is there a similarity to the D1 tranny of another domestic. Seem to remember a tranny pro guys saying to find someone that worked on some domestic and it was the same type.

Any help or direction to previous posts would be appreciated.
