I am looking at getting some wider wheels for my S3, and was wondering if anyone has had any probs with sunraysia wheels. I currently have the original r15 on her but I am trying to do more beach driving than anything else, so the wider the better. The ones I am looking at are R15x10. However, the bloke who is selling them has 2 road type treads for the front and 2 more mud like tyres for the back. My old man reckons I should probably have all the tryes the same, otherwise I will bugger the transfer box when I am four wheel driving. Is this a problem does anyone know?
thanks heaps,
Dick

DickFox,
Yeah, you're best off having the same diameter tire at each corner. That being said, having a 15" rim, and one that wide gives you a lot of latitude as far as tire choices, especially wide ones.

I'm currently running Kumho Venture MTs in 235/85/16 on my truck...prolly too tall and skinny for your needs, but I'm pretty impressed with them...

Yes must have the same diameter.
Just one thing that happend to me.
I had an idea in my head that I wnated to fit the biggest tires possible, without cutting the body or doing any other mods.

so I Fitter a set of General RV 16 -750's. Works fine until I want to turn! My turning circle went from bad to nearly non-exsisting!

Good tire for my needs - Rocky, sandy terrain with a lille bit of mud once or twice in the summer. Not thorn resistant enought though!
