2005 Lr3 4.4 with (3 amigos) hdc, traction control , lights on preventing air suspension from raising……

Reading live data for all modules I noticed a discrepancy between the Abs, SAS, and Vehicle Dynamics Control modules. Steering angle sensor and abs module are both reporting the same, actual, degree of wheel angle.. however the VDCM is over 750° off. When the steering wheel is moved it changes the values on all mentioned modules but even after calibration and reset, I can’t get the angle values to match. I’ve ordered a SAS and plan to replace but wondering if anyone else has come across this issue?

Are the Abs & VDCM the same module?
How/ why could they show different values?

Any help greatly appreciated. Want to get this nugget back on the road.

Some things-
Battery replaced 18 months ago. Put on maintainer and shows good values with charge above 85%.
Checked for corrosion at battery, grounds and TCCM. All looks good including connectors. Pulled carpet in passenger side, checked for broken wires in rail… none found. Even pulled tape off the notorious red splice and it looks good.
abs module looks clean as do pins and connectors.
diagnostic tool used- icarsoft CR Pro
