Hi,

My name is Paul and I'm a new member from Western Australia.
At the weekend I fitted a 40mm lift kit to my 1997 discovery 1 300. Since then its started vibrating at about 40-50kph. I think it must be the drive shaft but most of what I've read says that the drive shaft should be ok with a 50mm lift or under.
Will fitting the caster correcting bushes help this or do I need to change the drive shaft?
I would really appreciate any help.

40mm isn't all that much...I would start by checking the joints at the front propshaft...they may be worn enough that the small lift is more than they can handle.

If that doesn't cure it, then you can make the decision on either a new front propshaft or to mess with the suspension. For me the decision would come down to $$ and how much stuff I would have to mess with.
