Tyler, you still interested in a Rover

I'm located in Chattanooga, TN and would like to sell a 1998 Range Rover 4.0 with 119,000 miles. I'm asking $10,000.

I've only had it for 6 weeks but need to buy something else. One owner before me. Friend of mine from college. Since I've had the car I have replaced the battery, replace the front brake pads and roters, and replace the oil pan gasket.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Tyler, I suggest you first look on e-bay to get an idea of how much you should be spending on a 97 discovery.......im sure you could get a very good condition one with around 100k miles for $6000 or less.

Check out these links to give you an idea of how much you should be paying, keep in mind, these have a good amount of modifications/creature comforts added to them, they are not stock;

Tyler,
Are you mechanically inclined? Do you own some tools or know someone who does?
For a new buyer I feel obligated to tell you that if you buy a Rover
IT WILL NEED REPAIRS
Good luck.
Buying tip.
Get as many goodies on it as you can. It helps if you need to resell it later.

tyler, i know you said CA is too far away, but i'm selling my wife's '98 D1 (see my thread). it's in excellent condition inside and out and well within your budget. just thought i'd throw it out there.

If I remember right, he could have it shipped and still be under budget?

I have a 95 with new suspension (2" lift), lots of new upgrades, snorkel, roof rack, winch, mechanically flawless, very nice looker too. It's in Vermont though. $7200.
For $10K cash, I might be talked out of my 72 Rangie 2 door...

Bear Valley

Since you're in Atlanta you should check out Bear Valley Land Rovers. I made an 8 hour drive to buy a truck from them a couple of years ago and had a very good experience. Take a look at their web site, they have several nice old Discos at the moment.

I'm actually thinking of flying down to Atlanta to buy one of the old Range Rovers they have right now :D

Which are you looking at out of curiosity? I've been looking into purchasing a classic from them in the future. Let me know how it goes.
