After recent rain storms my 2004 sounds like there is water in the dash sloshing around when I drive. There is not any water leaking into the cabin area but I worry that it might eventually. I am guessing that it is somehow coming in through the fresh air intake. Is there a drain some where that might be clogged? Would this be the same drain for the A/C ?

Normally, at least for Disco IIs, the sloshing water sound is actually from air in the system. There are a lot of posts but as I remember you just put your heater fan and thermostat on high, top up the coolant reservoir, and let it idle pretty high for several minutes. That sucks in the coolant and replaces the air. I had this problem on mine and it took two or three tries but it worked. Have you perhaps recently replaced a water hose?

Not sure about your model.
