Hey Folks ,

2003 - D2

Noticed some water on the drivers side, I have attached some images and also an image of where the water is sitting.
Windscreen is bone dry also .
Both my sunroofs have been sealed shut and pipes are both clear.

The roof bars have also been resealed etc. I have ran my hand down the drivers side to see if I feel anything wet but nothing.

Any one manage to shed any light on this ?

In my experience, you can take in water from all of these places:

sunroof drain cracked nipple
Sunroof drain clogged: overflow
Bolts attaching sunroof glass to rails loose
Body seal between sunroof and roof pan failed
Roof bar grommets (unlikely)
Upper windshield seal (too low for your situation)

unless you were up there drilling holes, I don’t think there’s another option for the water to enter.

if you can dust all of the interior metal panels with talcum powder, then test in rain (or with hose), you’ll certainly find tattle tales of where the water is coming from

Cheers for the advice reverendALC .

sunroof drain cracked nipple - Not Cracked
Sunroof drain clogged: overflow - All Clear
Bolts attaching sunroof glass to rails loose - Tight
Body seal between sunroof & roof pan failed - Sealed
Roof bar grommets (unlikely) - True
Upper windshield seal (too low for your situation) True, if that was the case the water would have to fill up around windscreen area work it’s way up the roof area.

I’ve also checked from Alpine windows to see if it’s trickling from there but all bone dry.

No drain pipes are in the way either , something keeps pointing to the centre cross member that runs from either side of the cab.

If you see the pic it’s on like a cube box where the water trickles from loosing my marbles now.
