please help!!!! i have a 1998 r reg 5 door disel freelander
I have just noticed that there is water in the lockable stowage box. The lid is dry but the underneath of the boot carpet is wet. I have taken the boot carpet out and cannot see where the water is coming from. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It comes in around the rear door window seal - track around where the glass is touching the seal and you will see it occasionally does not touch. This is where the water comes in - is a design issue - a new seal may help but they did leak from new - likewise putting a release agent on the glass then build up the areas with a sealant might help but will be unsightly.

The simply response is get used to it - be aware of it and part accordingly - parking under cover obviously helps but so does parking up hill.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful - I have just gotton used to it.
