I cross alot of water, but I don't drive in ponds. That said, the deepest water I ever crossed left moss on the bottom of my windshield. Almost cost me an engine. I now drive creeks and rivers on a regular basis, have gotten much better with my bow wave, and I try to stay out of water deeper than the bottom of my grille. GO SLOW, stay out of mud (you will sink fast in mud, thus making the water deeper) and if you wish to make a career out of driving in water, at least get a snorkel. You will still face electrical issues if you try to go too deep, but @ least you won't be hydro-locked. Also, watch out for those underwater obstuctions that you can't see, because they will stop you. (another reason why I drive in clear streams & rivers) Good Luck, LRW
