I have a 00 D2 with 142k miles. I have 6k miles on a fresh engine rebuild and I also completed the high mileage service. My question is about seepage. Even with a new gasket, my transmission always has a few drops hanging on several of the pan bolts when I inspect. Additionally, my transfer case does too, even after I serviced and resealed the cover plate. The engine seems to be fine accept for 1 pan bolt that has a drop of fluid when inspected. Is this normal seepage for these vehicles or do some of you guys have water tight seals on everything?
