Last week when I was replacing my front driveshaft and 4 O2 sensors, I noticed this rubber plug under the Rover. I noticed it because it was barely plugged into the hole that it was supposed to be in. It was barely in there. Can someone please tell me exactly what it's for, And what are the consequences for it being basically out of the hole it was supposed to be covering.

Yes. Been discussed on here many times
Just a dummy plug to keep crap out of the bell housing. Hole is an access for transmission removal (access to ring gear to torque converter bolts. Just pop it back in the hole to plug it up
