On my 2001 Disco SE7, there is in the engine bay a thin plastic pipe which just ends. I am suspecting that it may have something to do with the fact that my cruise control is also not working anymore.
Can anybody identify this pipe (marked in the attached picture) and let me know where it's supposed to go to/come from ?

The pipe is on the driver side in the engine bay. Any help is much appreciated.

I have the same pipe, my assumption is that it is the Land Rover complaint hotline (since it was sold to FORD) and that is the customer service centers last resort.

Yup, tonight is the first night this week I decided to experiment with beer. Survivor is back on the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, my cruise control stopped workin once I had my stereo system replaced. :shifty:

That might be the end of one of the axle breather lines. At least... that's what it looks like in the pic. I would trace it back and see where it leads. If it leads to an orb shaped plastic device, the throttle, or through the firewall, it may have something to do w/ the cruise. if it goes to the axle, it's the breather.

Yeah, that would be the axle breather. If your cruise isn't working check your vacuum lines as they are most likely cracked right around where they slide on to the fitting allowing for a leak. My wifes 2000 hasn't had a problem YET, but my 97's didn't work when I bought it (good for price negotiating)! Checked and replaced all the lines after I got it home. You can just go to Autozone and get what you need there, just take a line with you to get the correct size.
