Hello all,
My wiper blades were frozen to the windshield and turned on , shut them off and cleaned the windshield...not the blades are not aligning( ie not going all the way across screen) checked the nuts they are tight...any ideas

The wipers arms are attached to the motor assembly via some fine splines. If the arms aren't seated well on these splines or if the splines are stripped, they may not rotate correctly with the motor assembly. I would remove the two plastic caps, remove both nuts and then slowly and carefully remove the wiper arms. This can be difficult since they are kind of pressure fitted onto the motor assembly and the splines. You usually need to use a little lube, a lot of patience, and some prying/rocking to get them off (note, do NOT pry with anything resting on the windshield... you WILL crack the windshield this way). When you get the arms off, examine the "nub" on the motor assembly and see if the splines are still there or whether they have been stripped. If the look good, then just reattach the wiper arms and make sure you push each arm down onto the "nub" evenly. Get them really well seated and then put the nuts on and tighten down snug again.
