my disco wont down shift when the time is needed..especially going up a hill..but its only while at highway speeds..of maybe 50+..it wont downshift back into 3rd...sometimes it will...but its delayed..i have to manuelly downshift it and it will do it no problem..any reasons why it would do this? thanks!

Let me try that again, no you don't have to open the tranny, the cable adjuster is on the outside.

Yeah I second, or third that... my money is on the kick down cable needing an adjustment, or needing a replacement...
