Workshop Manual Question

I bought a disk that has all the manuals for my land rover (2008 LR2 SE). It looks like the guy just printed to xps file and converted pdf. My question is... Is this the reason no part #'s are listed in the workshop manual? Is there a different manual that list the parts? I would hate to have to call the dealer every time I need to get a part#.

For Land Rovers workshop manuals and parts are separate publications.
