I felt for the guy, since the price of gas keeps climbing my P38A have been garaged (something I hate to do). I now go about with a 4 cylinder Toyota. I love my truck but at what premium gas goes for now, I cannot afford to drive it every day like I used to.

We shouldn't complain, I paid U$S4 a gallon down in South America. Diesel was about U$S1.50 a gallon.

$48 to fill up each Disco here in NY....

I come from a land down under,where unleaded is $1.03 and diesel is $1.11 per litre
so 4.5 litres to the gallon = 4.5 x 1.03 =$4.63 a gallon
my country men futher down south are paying more!!!

tne fuel companys have us by the balls and they know it!!!

It feels like you spend less if your fuel level sensor leaks, and only allows you to fill the tank half way.

Sounds like you guys in the UK will be converting your vehicles to peddle cars fairly soon. I used to have one when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I can't remember, what it was a model of? Probably an Austin A40!

Much better to convert to LPG my 1990 classic 3.9 Auto was converted when i acquired it and @39.9p per ltr (£1.79 per gallon) it is not so painful on the wallet and runs well.
