Put my RR 2000. 4.0 in for a quick fix and now Window RH Not Set, Window LH Not Set, Sunroof Not Set etc....all these messages appear when I insert the key (as well as EAS manual).

I assume it's failing some sort of diagnostic check but - how do I set them?

the battery was disconnected during the fix. you will need to open and close each window and sunroof which somehow allows the computer to set the 'anti-pinch' and one touch open/close functions.

doing this is more of an art form than a science - you basically have to open fully and then rock the switch back to close in a fluid motion. agonizing and can take a lot of patience. Sunroof especially hard bc you have to do moonroof function followed by open/close sunroof.

if you had it in to a dealer for that fix, i'd drive it back there and make them do it.

going to the dealer is a waste of time.

trust me learn the procedure so when the battery goes dead you can do it yourself.

just put the window up and hold it for five seconds and then down for hold for five seconds.

moonroof needs to go back and hold forward and hold and up and hold.

Hi, I have a 2.5 diesel RR and had some work done. Battery was disconnected and when reconnected loads of windows not set came up together with doors open. I have manged to reset everything apart from the Rear Right hand door which insists to be open whilst closed and locked. Also the interor lights wont go off. Can you please help resolve this annoying issue.
Thanks
Marcos

could it be as simple as checking that the switch in the doorway operates? i.e. the one that is pressed in when the door closes

if it is perhaps corroded or broken that could account for the lights not going off and telling the computer the door is not closed, which may in turn prevent you from being able to set that window. try taking that switch out and if it looks intact, try cleaning metal contacts. you could also maybe swap it with the switch for another door and see if the problem follows the switch.

I just purchased my first rover, a '97 Range Rover 4.0 My drivers side window says that it is "not set" it rolls down fine but when rolling it back up about half the way there it starts going really slow, the closer it gets to being fully rolled up the slower it goes. Eventually it does close but what is causing this?? I'm afraid that one day I'm not going to be able to get it all the way up, so I have dispensed with using it as much as possbile until I get it fixed.

I have another window, driver side rear, where the central display is saying it is "not set" but I am not having any issues rolling it up or down. I am going to try the process outlined in this post on that one.

Any help would be much appreciated!!
