Going to remove the running boards from my '95 RRC LWB this weekend. I looked under there.. my question is this, there are brackets that attach to the frame/body from the boards.. do those come off the frame/body? Or do I leave them on and just remove the boards.. if anyone has some pics of the underside where the boards mount and you DON'T have running boards, can you please post.. I want to see if the brackets need to stay or come off.. I am thinking they need to come off.

Thanks!!!

I think there are 3 bolts that are shared with the transfer case mounts? Two have to be taken out, one just has to be loosened? It has been a while, but take your time!

yes was r 3 bolts (per side) on mine. 2 r vert. that stay w/ the running board and the hort. just take off the nut and then remove the r boards and then but the nut back on to the bolt and tighten (goes on the frame) once u do it u will see that u cannot take that bolt off. when i took my running boards off i used acouple of cement blocks on both sides to hold up the boards.
